Going Green

Very appropriate for today! As this infographic states, 71% of the interior remodeling done for greening purposes is insulation. Remember that a very important part of upgrading the insulation in your home is replacing your garage door with an insulated one, or adding insulation to your current door. This is a project that pays for itself in the long run with the energy savings and of course, the added comfort in our garages, especially in the summer. -RGDS

Money-Saving DIY Tips For Spring

Check out these money-saving DIY tips for spring.Notice, however, that while #10 explains the importance of opting for sconces by the garage door, it does not mention an even more important money saver-INSULATING YOUR GARAGE DOOR! Our garages get quite hot here in Florida and every time you open your access door, cool air floods into your hot garage. Insulation helps keep your garage at a more stable and comfortable temperature.
