Home security tips for travelers:
Garage: If your garage door has an exterior lock, be sure to lock it. If you have an interior lock, be sure to activate it. If you don't have either, attaching a padlock to one of the lower holes in the track will do (preferably, one on each side). Just be sure to unplug your opener so you won't forget that your locks are activated when you return. Inadvertently forcing your opener to open against the locks may cause damage to the opener.
